She is the daughter of Mary Kaye (Cooper), an activist, and Jon Huntsman, Jr., a politician, diplomat, and businessman. Her father has served as a Governor of Utah (from 2005 to 2009), a U.S. Ambassador to Singapore (from 1992 to 1993), a U.S. Ambassador to China (from 2009 to 2011), and a U.S. Ambassador To Russia (from 2017). Abby is married to Jeffrey Livingston, with whom she has a daughter.

He was a billionaire businessperson and philanthropist, who founded the Huntsman Chemical Corporation. Alonzo was the son of Gabriel Alonzo Huntsman and Nellie Dean Melville. Sarah was the daughter of Joseph Alfred Robison and Mary Elizabeth/Mattie Keith.
